Welcome to the new St George’s website. I hope you will find it has useful information which will keep you informed about life at St George’s. The site is still being developed and we expect to be making additions and updates on a regular basis.

St George’s has a strong tradition of educating its young people in a caring and nurturing environment. We believe that by providing a challenging and stimulating curriculum that matches the needs of each individual, their full potential will be developed. There is a very experienced and highly skilled team of staff who share this commitment and together they deliver high quality lessons and provide support and pastoral care of the highest calibre.

As a Catholic High school we seek inspiration in Christ and follow His teachings. We are an inclusive school welcoming pupils of all races, creeds and abilities. At St George’s “Every child really does matter”. We set high standards of behaviour and hard work for our pupils and as a result they achieve excellence in their academic work and all other activities. Through discussion and participation we encourage our pupils to recognise and encourage achievement and also respect for others.
